Women’s Refuge

Fale Pasifika Women’s Refuge was founded in October 2020 and officially launched in January 2021.

We are proud to be an affiliated refuge under the National Collective of Independent Women’s Refuges Inc.

Our services are dedicated to supporting Pasifika women and children residing in Auckland, New Zealand who are experiencing family violence, domestic violence, or any form of abuse.

Our Vision:

Fale Pasifika Women’s Refuge vision is to encourage all women to find their strength and self worth through their voices that will empower themselves to create a positive, safe and sustainable environment.

Our Mission:

Fale Pasifika Women’s Refuge aims to provide the tools to support individuals in the prevention of domestic/family violence and all forms of abuse by working collectively alongside the community to educate and bring awareness through diverse cultural centered values.

Our Confidential Services Include:

Our crisis line is operating 24 hours a day including on public holidays.

This service is accessible to our Pasifika clients in the community who reside in Auckland

This service provides the family with a safe space to reside focus on confidentiality and your wellbeing

is a Child Advocate Programme to ensure the children’s needs are at the center of their focus

Strengthening men’s Pasifika values and traditional knowledge to promote healthy relationships & communities

A home security and safety service for people affected by domestic violence

We offer 11 fully furnished standalone homes which consist of 8 two-bedroom and 3 three-bedroom homes

Our new office on Station Road, Penrose officially open for services in May the 26th, 2023

Facilitated by Pasifika practitioners, Kafa Pasifika Men’s Program launched in January 2024, the aim of this program is to strengthening men’s Pasifika values & traditional knowledge to promote healthy relationships/communities.
